Caroline + Josh's Engagement Photos | A Pendleton, SC Wedding Photographer

I absolutely love Caroline and Josh's engagement shoot! Caroline contacted me about doing her pictures in a sunflower field she knew about it Pendleton, SC. Apparently, there's only a week or two window in July when sunflowers are in full bloom. So we were really happy the rain stopped and the weather cooperated with us to get this shoot done! I love how unique Caroline and Josh's shoot is and I can't imagine a prettier place to do it! This location was also perfect because sunflowers hold a special meaning to Caroline and Josh! When Josh proposed, he laid out a path of sunflowers leading to her ring. I can't wait to shoot their wedding in May!

I love this one!!

I love Caroline's unique, yellow diamond ring!

Caroline, you're beautiful!!

I think this one is stunning and the lighting is perfect!

Jenny + Brandon | A Seneca, SC Engagement Photographer

I had SO much fun meeting Jenny and Brandon at their engagement shoot! Brandon and Jenny met at Clemson University in the fall of 2009 during Katie's freshman year and Brandon's junior year. Jenny's brother, Josh, introduced them. Josh and Brandon are fraternity brothers and good friends and he thought that Jenny and Brandon would be perfect for each other. He was right! Jenny and Brandon dated throughout college and Brandon proposed on April 5, 2013 at the Battery in Charleston, SC (one of their favorite places to go!). They are getting married on June 7, 2014 at The Loom in Simpsonville, South Carolina.

Jenny wanted a "rustic" look to their pictures (which I absolutely LOVE) and so I really wanted to take the pictures on a farm. I got in contact with a friend who has a lot of connections with local farmers, and he connected us with Gwen at Tokeena farm in Seneca (you can read more about their farm here). Gwen was incredible and SO helpful! She drove us all around the farm in her pickup truck for nearly 2 hours and took us to all the pretty spots. I'm really thankful she did because I'm pretty sure my little Honda accord would have gotten stuck in the mud at some point during the photo shoot.

With all the rain we've been getting, I was so thankful that the rain held off until the very end of our shoot. It really was a perfect, overcast afternoon to take pictures in a gorgeous setting! Thank you to Gwen for helping us and Caroline for coming along and assisting with props and posing!

I was in love with this big, gorgeous tree!

Favorite! And how gorgeous is that field in the background?!

This was an adorable old tenant home.

Katie, you look stunning!

Another favorite! I absolutely love this picture and I love that you can see the rain in the background!

Thank you again to Tokeena farm for letting us take pictures on their gorgeous property!

Madeline + Kevin Engagement Pictures | Clemson, SC

I have known Madeline since our freshman year at Clemson. In fact, we met the very first week of school! We were part of the same Crusade bible study and our group stayed close throughout college and beyond. It is such a blessing to have had friends like Madeline for 7+ years now!

Madeline is so full of joy and always laughing and joking around. I think these pictures reflect that well. I had never met her finance Kevin before we did this shoot and so I was overjoyed to get to meet him and see them together. They are absolutely adorable and fit together so well. I'm so excited for their wedding in less than a month. Congrats Madeline and Kevin, I hope that you enjoy these pictures!

This is absolutely one of my favorites!

This is another one of my favorites! I was coooold and early in the morning the day we did the shoot. Madeline and Kevin were such troopers! I love the blanket in these shots (and I'm sure they were glad they got to bundle up for a few minutes!).

I think this picture is a good reflection of their fun personalities

So in the middle of our shoot a huge duck decided to interrupt our shoot. Below is a picture of Madeline and Kevin looking at the duck.

And here he is! I had to include this one. It's such a great blooper picture.
