Labor Day Cookout at Village Green

This past Monday, Amy and I planned a labor day cookout for Indian students at Village Green (a local neighborhood where a lot of Indian students live).  We grilled out turkey and veggie burgers and had volunteers bring the rest of the food.  This is the first time we have ever done something like this and so we had no idea what to expect.  Amy and I went out on Sunday and handed out flyers with the hopes of having 15-20 Indian students come.  We ended up having 60 students come!!!  It was such a tangible answer to prayer and so exciting to see the Lord working among Indian students here at Clemson!!

Please continue to pray for Indian students in Clemson.  They are virtually an unreached people group here, no church or campus ministry has reached these students.  In addition, Please pray for more men to help with international student ministry (55 of the 60 students that came were men!).

Finally, I want to share a story with you that really encouraged me.   Joshua (a former student at Clemson) is working for two years in India.  His girlfriend Peg shared this story with me:
"A few months ago Joshua met a man in India. They were chatting and getting to know one another and Joshua figured out that he went to grad school at Clemson for engineering! This man went on to share his testimony of how the Lord pursued him at Clemson while he was an international student. Some Christian brothers took the time to befriend him, love him persistantly and share Christ. He is now proclaiming Christ and planting churchs in India! Remember that God has already gone before you and that He will pursue His people through you as you seek to hear His voice and follow His leading."

That story is what I LONG to see happen through our ministry to International students at Crosspoint.  Please continue to pray that we would raise up laborers for the Gospel so that they might go back to their home countries and share the Gospel!
